Before you say anything about my writings, I would like to thank you for this opportunity. I’ve been thoughtful most of my life but writing for a few years now. During and immediately following my divorce I embraced the idea that sharing ideas or writings can actually improve your self-esteem. Currently, my life seems much more meaningful or rewarding than before. I always try to stay positive and do the best I can to remain this way, but it sure comes easier when I feel valued as a human being.
I wish I had the passion for writing that I have today since I was young, but I never did.
You might ask why then you are reading my thoughts. I think it is because you would like to know what makes my life tick. Ok, so here it is; Like I said before, I try to stay positive and do the best I can and always welcome advise from nice people or good friends.
I’ve been lucky to have worked in the tomato fields, in restaurants, in retail, in factories and now in a hospital where I meet the trucks, deliver supplies, do the shipping, help people….same thing every day, but it pays the bills and feed my family.
Anyway, I love my job, I love my ducks, los Van Van, I love books and surprises, even the weird ones. I love love, food, astronomy, beer, women, but mainly one. I love dreaming and dancing alone, beautiful sunsets, incense, candles or dim lights, moonless nights or bright ones. Even If I don’t know it yet, I love heaven, the ocean, the month of October, this very moment. I love listening, fresh mornings and the world as much as myself.
Fidel Guerra.
