gusanos perforando el barro,
mordiscos, hormigueo,
cimientos deshechos.
La luz, aturdida
por la nube oscura,
sigue batiendo sus alas
maltrechas, mordidas.

Altzairuzko hegaldatze
gorputzaren inguruan,
harrak lokatza zulatzen,
hozkadak, inurridura,
zimendu deseginak.
Argia, zorabiatuta
hodei ilunagatik,
hegoak astintzen jarraitzen du
kolpatuak, hozkatuak.

Steel flapping
around the body,
worms drilling the mud,
bites, tingling,
crushed foundations.
The light, stunned
by the dark cloud,
continues beating
its battered, bitten wings.
